Notice from the East Rutherford Police Department re. road improvement projects

As the Summer season is here please be aware that many improvement projects are and will be occurring within the borough. The East Rutherford Police Department and East Rutherford Department of Public Works are striving to improve roadways for both traveling and parking. Many of the projects are being done, weather permitting, to improve the traffic flow and parking availability to all who use the roadways within the borough. These improvements and projects occur all year long but are occurring more during the warmer months.As the Summer season is here please be aware that many improvement projects are and will be occurring within the borough. Battle of the Bands on Saturday, June 15

East Rutherford Recreation presents "Battle of the Bands", featuring bands from the School of Rock, on Saturday, June 15, 2019, from 4-8PM at Sesselman Park. Light refreshments available. Bring your lawn chairs!

2019 Summer Recreation Program

The 2019 Summer Rec Program will begin on Monday, June 24th and end on Friday, July 26th. It will run for 5 weeks. The program is from 9:00am-2:00pm, Monday through Friday. Daily activities and weekly trips are planned. The program is free. There will be a nominal fee for ALL trips. Registration will be at McKenzie Field. Open to East Rutherford residents ONLY. Child must be 6 by October 1st. Proof of age, and residency, for GUARDIAN and CHILD, will be required at registration.

Library Summer Reading Kickoff

The East Rutherford Public Library is having its annual summer reading kickoff program on June 19, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. There will also be a free petting zoo and pony rides at the library on this date. The petting zoo will be on the grounds of the library, with a rain date of June 20th from 2-4 p.m.

Become a member of "Eyes on East Rutherford" Neighborhood Watch

The East Rutherford Police Department and our "Eyes on East Rutherford" Neighborhood Watch invites you to become a member. The time involved is minimal but it gives you an opportunity to learn how to prevent crime while being updated on any crime trends within our town. Listed in the below download is a short synopsis of what our members do.

The next meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Police Headquarters. If you are interested in joining, please fill out the information in the below download and return it to Police Headquarters, ATTN: Record Room, or just bring it with you on the 13th.
